update on previous thread

one of the sticking points in the feedback was how i'd used filter/map shit instead of writing a plain for loop. i profiled the thing myself, and found that even under a worst case scenario ('our application has existed for 100 years and we need to generate stats going back this far'), the endpoints we added will still respond in less than half a second with a slow debugger attached. so i commented on the issue with these facts, and now i'll hopefully never hear from him again
