how long does it take before the 1 (one) girl character in trollhunters becomes Good

or even just like a Real Character. does she ever? I assume so, she's in the intro and all... it's killing me, I've heard really good things about this show but WHEW HEY DEL TORO MORE GIRLS NEXT TIME PLS

I will admit I'm enjoying how much harder this show is willing/allowed to go than most cartoons. Folks straight up die! They talk about kickin trolls in the nards! It's a fun change of pace.
