i'm a sucker for "storytelling" songs (helps a lot that joni mitchell pulled this off really well); i first heard this on the radio. among other songs with lyrics that just washed over me, this one stood out.
it's also just a great song in general: the falsetto is great, the guitar performance is great (i adore the hard stereo split on the guitars too). i'm usually a proponent of guys being objectified but in this case i wish a good resolution for ms. mitchell and that guy.
