I think this article is cool because I've always considered alchemy to be mysticism and superstition but actually it was just chemistry back when people didn't know stuff. On the other hand chemistry is boring so alchemy is no longer cool

i haven't read this yet but i think edward elric is actually the world's most famous alchemist
edit: ok i read it and now i have to defend chemistry's honour because it's how we have explosions and molecular gastronomy
