But still, how can you call yourself a true tea-lover if you destroy the flavour of your tea by putting sugar in it? It would be equally reasonable to put in pepper or salt.

haven't checked yet, but just like how adding a little bit of salt into your chocolate drink works well, i think we could be onto something with a little bit of salt in your milk tea?

anyway, two can play that game: i don't think you should even add milk if your leaves are that good. are we tasting the tea or the milk here, hm

my personal tastes: i don't put sugar in tea, but occasionally some cheap tea that's a little bit too sweet is nice i think. it's difficult to get milk that's not flavoured/sweetened in my place anyway so any milk tea would be sweet by default, so no milk either. but when i do put milk in it, i make it a little bit too sweet, again. for some reason i can never get it "sweet enough", but "not sweet enough" is by far the worst thing for me.

He also, reportedly, during a serious bout of pleurisy in his mid-50s, had his nurse rub him from head to foot with Vaseline. He soon recovered, and credited his recovery to Vaseline.

speaking as someone who does that: sometimes you just need to say things. yeah, it sounds horrible, but: it's like a rhythm game. sometimes the notes just come to you and you just gotta. hit it, to keep the tempo of the conversation. my sentences are usually 70% caveats by content, but sometimes you just can't get these in and it sucks but that's how it is

obviously if the topic at hand is serious, folks shouldn't do that, but

i had actually posted a hypothesis on what your original post could've meant and where it could've come from and i deleted it 'cause i didn't vibe with it and i'm so glad i did because this is such a good story and my hypothesis turned out to be so off-base that it would almost feel like i'm belittling you

thank you devtesla for writing dungeon meshi

i'm gonna invoke something horrible here so i'm sorry in advance: it hits the same note as the best parts of harry potter. i think it's the worldbuilding: you've written a world, with all of the little tiny details, creating a vivid place such that you want to put yourself in the characters' shoes. kui ryoko arguably did it better than the risible person responsible for harry potter, obviously without all of the baggage so that's very nice.

(in fact you could argue that kui ryoko has the inverse of "baggage" with regard to ~that topic~ specifically)
