i love donuts but making em from scratch is a pain. cause you have to let em rise, and it takes a while, and really dry air (like i have) can cause issues with that whole process. but you can just get the refrigerated cans of biscuit dough and cut each biscuit dough circle in half and fry that and it's pretty much exactly the same thing. i like nutmeg+cinnamon+sugar on mine but you can also glaze em or whatever you like.

no sorry i mean american biscuit dough. this kind of thing. although now i'm curious to see if i can fry cookie dough. my guess is there's probably not enough water in it

Oh that's kinda surprising that that's good too, I would expect it to be not nearly sweet enough to work as a donut but I guess if you have toppings and stuff it could make sense.
