DuckDuckGo is much better now than last time I tried to switch to it a few years ago.

Also as I understand Duck Duck Go actually buy search results off Bing and repackage them but supposedly anonymised. I am kind of suspicious as to how they don't just lose massive amounts of money doing this.

Holy shit yes. I do still use Google occasionally, but I often find that Duck is better than Google.

i rarely have to google something because DDG's results are unhelpful anymore, which is good because ever since google's personally identifying information collection got a lot worse i inevitably get ads in other channels for anything i type into their text box to the point where it's very obvious and very creepy
